I found my path and I will never return" (Meena) The women of RAWA (Revolutionary Association of the women of Afghanistan) are continuing the struggle of Meena. Meena founded RAWA in 1977 and was very active in social fights against the soviet intervention in Afghanistan. She was killed by a politically motivated feminicide after engaging for years in the cause of women‘s liberation in her country. Today more then 2000 women are organized with RAWA.Their objective is to involve an increasing number of Afghan women in social and political activities and to engage together in a women‘s movement for a free, democratic and peaceful Afghanistan forwomen‘s rights.
